We are a newly founded student-led society dedicated to empowering women pursuing careers in technology at the University of Birmingham. Founded to foster inclusion, innovation, and inspiration, we provide a platform for students to connect with industry leaders, develop technical skills, and build a supportive community.

Recent Projects
We have just recently had the amazing opportunity to share what UoB Women in Tech is all about and to welcome new members into our WiT Community at UoB's Society Fair! We have also just kicked off our new monthly Early in Career Spotlight Series, with an Associate Data Scientist from Sky!

A Bit About Us
We were founded in 2025! 🎉 - We're one of the newest societies at the University of Birmingham - created to build a bold, supportive community for women and non-binary students in tech!
Open to ALL students 🌍 - You don’t need to study Computer Science or Engineering to join — whether you're into law, linguistics or literature, if you're curious about tech, you're welcome!
We have our very own mascot 🐾 — named by a member! We’re not just about tech talks — we bring the fun too! Our mascot adds personality and community spirit to everything we do.
We send out a monthly WiT newsletter 📬 - With a growing mailing list of 70+ students, our newsletter is packed with exclusive updates and spotlights on inspiring women in tech.
Events
We have many upcoming fun socials, as well as tech-related competitions and volunteering opportunities running in Semester 2!!
